Alexa Chung for Madewell
Alexa Chung already has a Mulberry bag named after her (That we are DYING to get our mitts on)—now she's set her sights on a clothing line with US J.Crew's sister brand, Madewell.
Alexa Chung for Madewell, the brand's first celebrity collaboration, introduces 20 styles—think dungaree dresses, high-waisted skinny jeans and oversize jackets—that capture Chung's downtown rocker-chic laid back vintage style.
"I was being offered so many collaborations for a long time, but I held off," She says. Alexa's collection will include, "polkadot tea dresses, dungaree dresses, high-waisted skinny jeans, oversize wool jackets with velvet and lace accents, and T-shirts with Chung’s photographs and illustrations, about 20 styles in all." Alexa describes the line as "things you wouldn’t mind getting dirty in and things that I actually wear." The collection hits stores and Madewell's upcoming website in late August. This is the collaboration that we have certainly been waiting for. Date for the diary girls!!
“I want to bring back forties tea dresses, sixties mod dresses. . . . I want to bring cute back.”- Yipee!!!!
