Marc Jacobs has become the first major fashion house to announce its making a collection in sizes above a UK 14. Hurrah! Finally a designer that see's sense!
Although the project is a while off the president of the designer label confirmed on Twitter "we are in the very beginning stages of talking to a partner about plus sizes", meaning women size 16 and above will no longer feel so ignored by high end fashion.
Fashion fans such as size 18 Beth Ditto have recently made the industry open their eyes to dressing fuller figures, and it's about time given that the average size of a UK woman is a 16.
We are so excited about the step that Marc Jacobs has taken by for offering more women the choice to wear their clothes, as designer sizes are tiny anyway! So if you've got the money and your not a size zero (who is?!) then you've got something to look forward to! Marc Jacobs- We salute you!
