Hair Holiday!

Ive been on holiday this weekend.. A hair holiday.. No its not some weird hair cult fetish trip abroad.. Its an amazing hair and beauty spa weekend away.. In gorgeous Cheltenham.

Stuart Holmes, a celebrity snipper who's backcombed the barnets of Lisa Snowdon and Helen Mirren among others, Is on a mission to make sure our tresses don't unduly stress us and so has invented the hair holiday, two days that mix out-and-out old-fashioned pampering with a range of enriching hair treatments.

EXPERIENCE - My Day 1 schedule kicked off with a full body massage followed by a 'Beaute Neuve' Guinot facial (which did actually leave my skin silky smooth and refreshed)- When I was completely de-stressed and relaxed it was time to De-frizz- I was whisked downstairs for a intensive conditioning treatment on my tresses and a killer blowdry.

We stayed at the amazing George Hotel in the centre of Cheltenham where I showed off my super glam blowdry and smooth face in their award winning restaurant later that night- The food was gorgeous and the service was even better. Me and my boyfriend were almost treated like celebs as we were escorted to the basement cocktail bar after dinner where we slowly but surely worked our way through every cocktail on the menu- Sooo good (not as good the next morning to be fair)

On Day 2 of my schedule I swanned up the red carpet (yes there is actually a red carpet) for my Manicure and Pedicure followed by a all over colour (I've gone red, bright red) and cut (I've had a fringe!) I had another intensive treatment and ANOTHER blow dry. So all in all I was absolutely and utterly spoilt. The staff in the salon were so professional and mega friendly and really made you feel relaxed and at home. I even saw Stuart himself giving out the old blow drys.. Its a really cool and lovely salon, and the decor feels trendy rather than pretentious.

DRINK - Your facial comes with a complimentary Firefly detox drink, and free coffee tea juice or wine are offered every 10 min or you can splash out on a glass of champers for £2.

WALLET WATCH - The one-night breaks cost from £336.25 including a hair consultation, intensive hair conditioning treatment, a blow-dry, cut with Stuart Holmes, half-head of highlights, a Guinot facial, manicure, pedicure and full body massage and B&B accommodation in either the boutique B&B Thirty Two (thirtytwoltd.co.uk), which has just four very classy suites, or The George (stayatthegeorge.co.uk), which has a young, more contemporary vibe to its 31 rooms. Both are within a 2 min walk of the salon.

NEED TO KNOW - Stuart Holmes Hair Holiday, 5 Imperial Square, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL50 1QB; 01242 220001, stuartholmeshairholiday.co.uk

So all in all I had amazing time on my 'Hair Holiday'- Its such a great idea! The therapist and the hair stylists made the experience even better for me as they were all so lovely. I was made to feel really special- and hey, isn't that what every girl wants? It is definitely worth the price tag and I would recommend it to everyone! So its a thumbs up and 5 stars from me!
