Love Layering

Baby it's cold outside....and we're struggling to find warm things in our wardrobe to wear! Then we saw this picture of Taylor Momsen....we love her layering look, not sure about the suspenders though Taylor, might be a bit drafty!

Christmas Do!

Its all winding down in the office now.. no more hyperventilating over late copy or missing sample returns. Its pretty chilled so we are basically just eating chocolate all day. We had our office Christmas party on Wednesday which was eventful to say the least. A company credit card behind the bar and a room full of over 40 squawking girls is a recipe for disaster! We joined forces with Men's Health magazine for their Christmas Do so you can imagine the carnage. All we remember is swigging red wine out the bottle wandering through Soho. Classy ladies!

The office was very quiet yesterday with everyone nursing hangovers! We've never seen so many MacDonald's wrappers in the bin in one day! So last night we were very kindly treated to a complimentary treatment at Toni & Guy to sooth our aching heads... So today again we are scoffing chocolates, But at least we have shiny hair.

Today we both came into the office rocking studs and stripes.. We think it works quite well.. However we would be the first to admit sometimes we can look like we have escaped from a girl band - Ahhh the perils of having the same taste in fashion...

Christmas Rush...

Ok so we are actually having a melt down at work at the moment.. we should be excited about Christmas but instead we are sweating over our keyboards manically trying to hit our March and April page deadline. Its freezing outside and yet here we are thinking about whats gonna be hot to trot for April- Its madness! Floral hotpants and barely there crop tops are littered everywhere on our desks and we are sitting here wrapped up in scarfs.. Brrrr...

So apart from tearing our hair out- we've been hitting the shops this week spending all our Xmas vouchers from press days. We both got a very generous £100 voucher from River Island and tottered down to Oxford Street to spend that. They have soooo many nice bits in there are the moment so it took ages to choose.. This is what we got...

I got an amazing rock chick studded skirt and denim waistcoat, the voucher even stretched to some comfy heeled trainers, Winner! -Tash

Summer Trips...

We are both off on our summer main fashion trips today, Clare is off to chilly New York New York and I'm hitting sunny Cape Town. We are both shooting for a week so will be mega busy! We both have four shoots booked in so will be none stop all week. We're ready for our close up at Asos..

Yesterday we headed to the ASOS spring summer press day. There are sooo many great things due to hit the online store next season. Their premium range 'ASOS Black' stood out by a mile with gorgeous pastel ruffle dresses.. We cant wait to get our hands on those!

We were asked by the asos ladies to pick one of our fav items and pose in a photo booth as a cool way of leaving a comment about the collection.. This is the outcome!..

Yesterday & the day before was.. yep you guessed it- more press days. The time had come for the biggies! Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Marks and Spencer, House of Fraser & Urban Outfitters.. (and breathe!)
Topshop was amazing- so many fab bits for next season. We LOVED the traveller story- so many studded, embellished and 'worn' dresses and waistcoats (think schlepping round Ibiza looking glam). We are literally applying for credit cards as we speak so we can buy everything! Miss Selfridge was really strong aswell with a gorgeous nude collection and circus themed bright quirky coloured tutu's and printed jackets.
Dorothy Perkins had some great nautical pieces- always a winner for the summer! and we were really surprised by Marks and Spencer- It seemed alot younger and had loads of really key on trend pieces!
We always look forward to House of Fraser as the guys there are soooo nice! they are such a cool little team and always make us feel welcome, we end up chatting there for hours without actually doing any work! whoops! They have launched a new boutique Label called 'Label Lab' which is full of great embellished dresses-so keep an eye out for that next season!
Urban Outfitters was great aswell- cute cropped tops and some great denim. They've launched an own brand sunglasses range which is full of candy coloured and floral wayfarers which we're sure will be everywhere come summer.

Last night we rocked up to the Lacoste light box party in Covent Garden- It literally was a blow up inflatable light box smack bang in the centre of covent garden. Alice Dellal, Nick Grimshaw, Mr Hudson & Ben Grimes spun some amazing tunes on the decks and the free champers flowed and flowed and flowed.... ahh pass the aspirin please.

Style Spotting...

The past few days have been manic yet again with press day madness not giving us any sign of easing up in the near future! On a brief break from trawling London laden with Spring Summer Look Books we took to the streets to do a bit of street style spotting.. You never really realise how stylish Londoners are until you sit and really watch people walk by. So many people don't follow the trends and tend to mix and mash pieces they like together which is the type of style we like so we are always in our element in London. Its all about throwing things together that don't actually go but still managing to look damn cool (yes Fearne Cotton we are talking about you too!) We went to our favourite style hot spot (Outside Topshop Oxford Circus) to scout out some of our City's stylish peeps! Everyone was loving the leopard print so we decided that that was our fashion fix of the day. We found some amazing girls with such a quirky, cool sense of style. It really inspired us and just made us want to shop! (even more than usual!)

Today we went to the Nine West Spring/Summer collection launch and feasted our beady eyes on what they have in store for us this summer! amazing embellished flats and gorgeous nude studded strappy sandals! yipee! We'll take two pairs! (size 6 & a 4 if your asking)

This time selling preview samples of the 2010 exclusive designs by Jenny Packham, Alice Temperley, Richard Nicoll and Ciel alongside their current collection by Luella, Giles and Co. for a short time only.

All tees are produced on organic Continental cotton by the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) and will be sold in aid of the charity's work ending forced child labour and environmental abuses in cotton production, what more could a girl want?
